![]() ![]() Even when moving, it will only be spotted at close range. When equipped with Low noise exhaust (LNE) and a camo-trained crew it can sit in a bush and remain undetected until the enemy accidentally rams it. ![]() This tank is arguably the purest scout in the game. Can easily lose control and flip when moving on uneven terrain. No real armor and very light weight, vulnerable to ramming and all types of shells.Low burst damage with an average of 660 alpha per magazine.Horrible DPM, very poor gun handling, aim time and shell velocity.Like some other light tanks, is excellent at being bait.Good top speed, but poor engine power, somewhat compensated by ground resistances.Good gun elevation and depression for an autoloader.Comically small, hard to hit at range and can make use of most bushes and hard cover.Absolutely excellent camouflage overall, absolutely ludicrous with skills and Low-Noise-Exhaust.I have heard that the computer opponents' AI is tuned a bit better than Scorched Earth, so if you're looking to play against your PC (up to 10 simultaneously) this may be your best choice. There are also different weapons that you can purchase between rounds. The game generates terrain of different formations for each level and includes wind as well (both typical of games in this genre, even the famous QBasic Gorillas game) as well as a ton of different configurable options. The goal of the game is to destroy the other tank(s) controlled by human players or computer opponents (of varying intelligence levels) by selecting the angle and velocity of your shots. It is quite similar to the better-known game Scorched Earth which was released around the same time in the early 90's. Tank Wars (also known as BOMB due to the name of the zip file and it's executable file) is, as you might expect, a tank battle game. Tank Wars gameplay screenshot Review: Rating: 4.5 ![]()
